Credit: WWE.com Michaels vs. Angle IV January 16, 2006The new World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle and Shawn Michaels have had some of the best matches in WWE history. They are considered two of the best all-around performers that the sports-entertainment industry has ever seen. They delivered an instant-classic at WrestleMania 21, and Angle walked away with the first victory in what would turn out to be an extended rivalry. Their match at WrestleMania was an interpromotional one, but after Angle was drafted to RAW in the Draft Lottery, it was just a matter of time before they locked horns again. The rematch was at Vengeance, and while the match was another classic, the result was different as HBK picked up the big win. Mr. McMahon then put a smile on every WWE fans’ faces when he announced a third match between the two for the big WWE Homecoming last October. To make things even more interesting, though, he made the rubber match a 30-Minute WWE Iron Man Match. The two battled to the point of exhaustion for 30 minutes, and in the end, they both scored two falls apiece, and the match was ruled a draw. After HBK and Angle had a falling out during a tag team match on RAW, Mr. McMahon thought it would be the perfect time for HBK vs. Angle IV. And who could argue? Don’t miss RAW Monday night in what is sure to be another instant classic between these two amazing competitors. Plus, what ramifications will there be after John Cena interrupted Edge and Lita’s live sex session on RAW? Earlier in the evening, Mr. McMahon had told Cena that if he got involved in the “session” he would lose his right to a rematch for the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble. Did Cena inadvertently cost himself a shot at regaining the gold? And Kane, Chavo Guerrero and Shelton Benjamin all qualified for the Royal Rumble. It was also announced that Rob Van Dam would make his big return to the squared circle in the Royal Rumble Match. Who else will qualify for the Royal Rumble? Tune in to Monday Night RAW at 9/8 CT on the USA Network to find out. Credit: WWE.com Looking for answers January 20, 2006What will happen on SmackDown this week after last week’s historic events? On the last SmackDown, Kurt Angle shocked the world by entering — and winning — the Battle Royal to determine the new World Heavyweight Champion. What will the new champion and Olympic gold medalist have to say about the shocking events? And what will be the stance of SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long, who seemed to approve of Angle’s presence on SmackDown? Also last week, Randy Orton found a way to defeat Chris Benoit — handing Booker T the United States Championship. Afterward, “The Legend Killer” said that Booker owed him one. Will Randy cash in that favor on SmackDown this week? In addition, fighting Finlay will debut. After weeks of introductory videos, how will Finlay fare against the stiff competition on SmackDown? All this and much more on Friday (9/8 CT) on UPN. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Thoughts? Comments? Share them in here!

For raw this week, im really pumped to see a TLC match again. Im expecting to see Edge retain this week, yet pissed i picked early in WWC and cant have him.
Im expecting Kurt to defeat HBK, and id also like to see more of this Carlito/Masters tag team, maybe even a tag team championship match.
As for smackdown, i would expect some Rumble matches to come up, and even Orton's push to start

I would be shocked if Flair actually won the title from Edge and stranger things have happend so you never know,WWE looks like they are pulling out surprises now due to their lack of roster's,and I guess we will be seeing Kurt Angle on both Raw and Smackdown now which should be intresting, for some reason I don't think we are gonna see a clear winner out of HBK vs. Angle 4,their may be interfearnce on both Vince McMahon and maybe Mark Henry

If Flair were to win the WWE title on raw, i would lose total interest in raw.
And im inclined to believe that Angle will defeat HBK, mainly in part to a Vince "screwjob" of sorts, (i.e Sweet Chin Music is banned) or something to that effect

Not Flair's Night January 16, 2006
It looked like magic might happen for the 17th time – that lightning might strike in Flair Country. A badly bloodied “Nature Boy” stood perched on a ladder, reaching toward the WWE Championship and another historic career highlight. Ric Flair was about to become a 17-time world champion in his very first Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match (or any type of Ladder Match, for that matter).
But it was not to be.
Lita grabbed hold of Flair’s leg, then caused enough of a delay for Edge to shake off a frightening push off a ladder and through a table to the outside. As Flair tried again to reach new heights, Edge climbed the other side of the ladder. The two met 25 feet in the air, where one final punch KO’d Flair and sent him sailing to the mat far below. With that, Edge grabbed the WWE Championship and successfully retained for the first-ever time.
This match lived up to all we’ve come to expect from the initials T.L.C. Both men absorbed an unthinkable amount of punishment from chair shots to crushing ladder blows. In one heart-stopping moment, Edge hit a splash from the top of a 25-foot ladder, blasting Flair through a table on the outside. Flair’s daughter, who was watching from ringside, screamed upon impact then begged her father to show some signs of life.
Ric Flair would show the resiliency that made him a legendary world champion, leaving his blood all over tables and ringside debris and fighting his way back from the brink. Eventually, he tipped a ladder over with Edge perched atop it, sending Edge crashing through a table and into the concrete floor. That gave Flair the opening he needed to climb his way to glory, but Lita would put a stop to history in the making. In another huge RAW match, new World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle battled Shawn Michaels for an epic, fourth time. And to raise the stakes, Mr. McMahon put HBK’s job on the line in this non-title match. The series going in was tied at 1-1-1.
Ultimately, Shawn Michaels found himself desperately trapped in a grapevined ankle lock. The Olympic gold medalist was sure he had the match won. But inexplicably, Daivari entered the ring with a chair, looking for payback on Michaels. The distraction demanded the attention of the referee and forced Angle to break the hold and figure out what was happening. As Angle tried to pull the chair from Daivari, it accidentally was thrust by Daivari up into Angle’s throat, stunning him. “The Showstopper” seized the moment and rolled up Angle for a sudden win. A furious Angle began to scream at Daivari, who responded with a slap to Kurt’s face. Angle couldn’t believe the gall of Daivari, then dumped him over the top rope with an Angle Slam.
Before the match, which actually began on WWE.com Unlimited, both world champions had words in the ring. Angle also explained the circumstances surrounding his participation in the SmackDown Battle Royal, saying his RAW contract expired on Jan. 1, and he saw a great opportunity to be champion and signed with SmackDown. His move proved to be a wise one.
John Cena took the Master Lock Challenge. Masters showed his power and strength and nearly caused Cena to pass out, but the former WWE Champion fought back. With Cena gaining momentum, Edge appeared and smashed Cena in the face with the WWE Championship belt, ending the challenge the hard way.
In addition, Triple H attacked Big Show during his match against Shelton Benjamin, handing Benjamin a count-out win.
Also, Mickie snapped on tag partner Ashley, costing her team their match against Victoria, Torrie & Candice, and Kane shut up Carlito by shoving an apple down his throat.

Raw:
Well this week's raw was thorough entertainment and very good television. The segments all told a story well, the Rumble is being built strong, and Lita almost had another slip up.
- Opening Segment: Anyone else get the idea that the World title may be unified if they start talking about it? Anyway, some nice shoot styled digs on each other, and a start of an Angle face turn.
Angle vs Michaels Great match. Not as good as Wrestlemania or Vengeance, but still a great match. HBK got the win, which was really obvious seeing how if he lost he would be out of a match. A nice twist with Angle attacking Daivari, maybe somethign will play out of this.
Shelton vs Big Show Loved it, had comedy, and was going really smoothly until Triple H interfered, setting up more Rumble heat.
Divas Tag Kinda short, they wasted a 10 minute segment for a match that had Mickie beat up Ashley. I see now that Mickie will be going to play the heel role.
TLC: Edge vs Flair Some people doubted if a two man TLC could work. And the question was answered: YES, it most certanily can. Some decent bumps during the match made it exciting, and Edge retaining was a welcome sight. This has been the best Raw main-event since August 2004.
Overall, i really enjoyed Raw this week, from opening to close, and i really hope this Edge/Cena feud plays well.
Score: 9/10
Stay tuned for my Smackdown review

Second chance January 20, 2006
It was a night of second chances for the SmackDown Superstars as Friday Night SmackDown rolled into Florence, South Carolina this week.
On the Jan. 13 edition of SmackDown, Kurt Angle shocked the world by jumping from RAW to win the World Heavyweight Championship in a Battle Royal. The final two men eliminated in that Battle Royal, Mark Henry and Rey Mysterio, squared off to see who would face the new champion at the Royal Rumble.
Early in the match, Rey used his speed, trying to stick and move to counteract the World’s Strongest Man’s size and power advantage. While Rey managed to keep Henry at bay for a while, eventually Henry caught Mysterio and used his power advantage to dominate. However, Henry got cocky, holding Mysterio above his head for an extended length of time. Rey was able to escape before Henry could do anything, and hit a series of 619s to chop the big man down to size. Rey then hit the frog splash for a near-fall, but Henry showed his agility, rolling out of the pinfall and over Mysterio. He then nailed Rey with the World’s Strongest Slam, getting the three count and winning the chance to face Angle on Jan. 29.
Henry would make another impact later in the night. On RAW, Daivari cost Kurt Angle his match with Shawn Michaels, and Angle fired Daivari on WWE.com Unlimited. Daivari pleaded with Theodore Long to do something, so Long set up a match between the two as the main event of Friday Night SmackDown. Daivari was mortified by the announcement, but had no choice. During the match, Angle dominated his former manager, but the appearance of Mark Henry and Melina at ringside distracted him long enough for Daivari to hit a low blow.
Undaunted, Kurt shook off Daivari’s attack and chased him outside the ring. Angle whipped Daivari into Henry, and after Henry caught him, Angle took both of them down. Back in the ring, the World Heavyweight Champion nailed the Angle Slam and locked Daivari in the Ankle Lock. Melina ran into the ring and jumped on Angle’s back, drawing a disqualification. Angle then put her in the Ankle Lock, but Henry attacked from behind. Henry hit the World’s Strongest Slam, and then nailed the champion with the steel ring steps. After Angle had been sent from the ring, Daivari shook hands with Melina and revealed that he actually screwed Angle. He then announced that he was now the manager of the World’s Strongest Man, and would lead Henry into battle against Angle at the Royal Rumble. Also on SmackDown, Booker T celebrated his newly won United States Championship. In the ring, Booker claimed that he won it all by himself, and proved that he was the greatest United States Champion of all time. Orlando Jordan took offense to this and hit the ring. Jordan told Booker that he should have let him be the substitute, but was disrespected and laughed at instead. Jordan challenged Booker to a match, but the champion laughed, saying he wasn’t cleared to wrestle. That wasn’t the response Orlando wanted, so he shoved Booker to the ground. At this point, Theodore Long came out, and announced that since Orlando wanted a match, he would fight the man who was Booker’s substitute, Randy Orton, later in the night.
Jordan worked over Orton’s shoulder early in the bout, but missed a suicide dive to the floor allowing Orton to gain control. Orton and Jordan then went back and forth, with Orlando continuing to work Orton’s shoulder while the Legend Killer focused on Jordan’s neck and back. As the match neared conclusion, Jordan headed to the top rope, but Booker & Sharmell made their way out. This distracted Jordan, and Orton was able to meet him on the ropes. Jordan pushed him down, but Booker nailed Orlando in the back with his crutch. Jordan was then easy prey for the RKO, and Orton was able to pick up the victory. After the match was over, Chris Benoit rushed the ring as Orton and Booker celebrated. Benoit laid out both men with chops and German suplexes, and it was later announced that Benoit will meet Orton next week in a No Holds Barred, One Fall to a Finish Match.
The Boogeyman also cost JBL once again on SmackDown. JBL took on Lashley, and a worried Jillian accompanied him to ringside sporting a bandage where her mole used to reside. JBL got the best of Lashley and nailed him with the Clothesline from Hell, but the Boogeyman’s music interrupted the match. He came out from under the ring to spook JBL, which distracted the “Wrestling God” long enough for Lashley to recover and nail JBL with the Dominator for the victory. JBL & Jillian ran away before he could do any more damage.
Later in the night, JBL barged into Theodore Long’s office, demanding that the General Manager do something about the Boogeyman. JBL complained that he had cost him several matches and scarred Jillian for life, prompting Long to ask if JBL was afraid of the Boogeyman. After JBL said no, Long told JBL that he would go one on one with the Boogeyman at the Royal Rumble. JBL tried to get out of the match, but the General Manager denied his pleas.
In addition, Finlay made his anticipated debut, taking on Matt Hardy. After a hard fought match, Finlay caught Hardy in the ropes, and delivered a series of hard crossfaces. Ignoring the referee’s count, Finlay continued to assault Hardy, and was disqualified for his actions. An irate Finlay asked the ref why he was disqualified, and said that he would give him a reason to disqualify him. Finlay then dragged Hardy to the corner, laid his head on the steel steps and stomped down, driving Hardy into the steel in a brutal display.
Also, the Gymini made their Friday Night SmackDown debut, defeating Paul London & Brian Kendrick.

I was surprised to see Finlay get a DQ on his debut match, but maybe that's an angle they are trying to work.
